Editing & Proofing

Some things just don't surprise me anymore, but no matter how many times I encounter this phenomena, it still amazes me. What phenomena is this, you ask? I'm talking about the hoards of "stuff" containing spelling errors and bad grammar that circulate around the business world. From the "do it yourself lettering" signs that line the streets to the ever-expanding world of internet websites to the "please hire me" resumes of jobseekers, people who don't know the difference between your and you're apparently don't care enough to verify whether or not they're (or is it there or their?) even guessing correctly. Unfortunately, whether it's a road-side sign, a promising on-line business, or someone's c. v., the end result is the same: a negative impression.

It Does Matter

If the rules of proper grammar are beyond you and spelling is definitely not your forté, you should enlist someone knowledgeable to proof and edit your work. Don't fall into the mistaken belief that it doesn't matter — it does. Even if you assume that three-quarters of your audience won't know any better than you do, the remainder will make judgements about you or your company based on what they see. A simple review by another pair of eyes can go a long way to ensuring a polished image.

The editing and proofing services provided by eSheep Enterprises can range from fulfilling simple requests such as "tell me if this document/web page is grammatically sound", to more detailed efforts in the way of "re-write this piece to emphasize items y and z".
